The stars came out on Sunday (Jun. 24) as the 2018 BET Awards took over the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Hosted by Jamie Foxx, the 18th annual show opened with an a triumphant celebration of black excellence with a victorious performance of “WIN” by TDE’s Jay Rock. Nicki Minaj, J. Cole, Migos, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, Janelle Monáe, Big Sean, Daniel Caesar, YG, Jay Rock, SiR, H.E.R. and Ella Mai are all set to perform during the three-hour extravaganza.

Anita Baker is this year’s Humanitarian Award honoree, and French citizen Mamoudou Gassama is the recipient of the Humanitarian Award. DJ Khaled leads the pack this year with six nominations, with Kendrick Lamar following right behind with five nods. SZA and Migos come next with four nominations each.
