After scoring No.1 albums for their latest solo releases (Lemonade and 4:44), Beyoncé and JAY-Z debut at No.2 with their collaborative effort Everything Is Love.
The album was in contention for the top spot with 5 Seconds of Summer’s third studio album Youngblood. Despite being a Tidal exclusive until Monday, The Carters still managed to give the Australian band a run for their money until the members took to social media to point out the “importance” of going No. 1 and how close they were. In the end, 5SoS moved 142,000, while Jay and Bey did 123,000. But hey, it’s not like Beyonce gives two f*cks about about streaming numbers, right?
XXXTentacion, the young rapper who was fatally shot in Florida on Monday, has his ? album—which originally debuted No. 1 back in March—jump back up to No.3 with 94,000 units. While Post Malone‘s Beerbongs & Bentleys sits at No. 4 (82k). And Nas rounds out the Top 5 with NASIR. The Kanye West-produced album was his first in six years, following the chart-topping Life is Good in 2012.
